The Creator of “Marani” Musical Editions is Maestro Tiberio Luciano Marani, who diplomated on Piano at the “G. Rossini” Conservatory of Pesaro. He immediately started the piano carrier with various bands in Italy and abroad. He intensevly composed folk music from his mother land immediately finding consents with the band “Folklore di Romagna” for which he wroted many folk pieces. “MERAVIGLIOSO” is his diamond creation, which made dance millions of people and taking him to a well known international level. He wrote songs for the following orchestras: Raoul Casadei, Vittorio Borghesi, Gigi Stok, Carlo Baiardi, Argelli, Silvano Silvani, La Nuova Romagna Folk, Gabriele e Milva, I Passatori, and recently Mirco Gramellini. Starting from 1981 he begun the editorial activity which is now his primary occupation, pubblishing folk music, orchestral music, songs for accordion, alto sax, clarinet, and many floppy disc with musical midis and band music. The editorial proposals are studied and programmed for bands and are articulated in marches, symphonic marches, transcriptions of classical music passages, arrangements of passages in rhythmical version, original passages from concert with modern characteristics, opera fantasies, march parodies, anthems, international folk, dancing entertaiments, funeral-religious music, fantasies, music for quartet etc. The didactic section is particularly important, we published 2 methods for trumpet, 1 for trombone, 1 solfeggio’s manual and a treaty of instrumentation for band, and two collections: “Polifonie Religiose per servizio e animazione liturgica e per concerto” and “Messa, Mottetti, e Canzoni Religiose per coro a 4 voci miste con accompagnamento di organo (at libitum)”. Starting from 1995 Lionello Marani, son of Tiberio, places side by side to the father in the management activity and promotion of the “MARANI” Musical Editions.
